Sultan Al Jaber, who oversaw COP28, is the head of the UAE’s state-owned oil company ADNOC and was previously in charge of Masdar, the nation’s renewable energy company. The 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) occurred at Dubai Expo City. These meetings were crucial to discuss and negotiate global efforts to address climate change.
